Our privacy policy is being finalised ahead of public launch. In the meantime, the headline commitments are:
- Where your data is stored. Your account, property and financial records, and the documents you upload, are stored in AWS's Sydney region (ap-southeast-2). Payments are handled by Stripe, which may transfer your billing details overseas, including to the United States and India. See Stripe's privacy policy.
- Encryption. Data encrypted at rest with AES-256. Tax File Numbers and ABNs encrypted with dedicated keys.
- Retention. Records retained for the seven-year period required for tax record-keeping under s262A of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1936.
- No sale of personal information. We do not sell, rent, or license your data to third parties.
- Australian Privacy Principles. We are committed to the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
- Third-party data sources. Address autocomplete is powered by the Geocoded National Address File (G-NAF) maintained by Geoscape Australia. Address data is © Geoscape Australia and is licensed to Qubo under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence. We self-host this dataset, so your address searches are answered by our own database, not sent to a third-party address service.
